About Halimede
A small retrograde moon of Neptune. Discovered in 2002 by a team led by Matthew Holman. Orbits backwards about 16.6 million km from the planet. Its neutral color resembles Nereid, suggesting the two may be fragments of a larger shattered moon. Takes more than five Earth years to complete one orbit. Named after one of the nereids of Greek mythology.
