About Sylvia
The first asteroid known to have two moons, making it a triple system. Its companions, Romulus and Remus, were discovered in 2001 and 2004. A primitive, dark body likely riddled with internal cavities. Discovered in 1866 by Norman Pogson. Named after Rhea Silvia, the mother of Romulus and Remus of Roman legend.
