About Sycorax

The largest irregular moon of Uranus. Orbits backwards at about 12 million km from the planet. Has a distinctly light red color pointing to a captured Kuiper Belt origin. Discovered in 1997 with the Palomar 200-inch telescope by a team including Matthew Holman. Belongs to the retrograde group alongside Setebos and Prospero. Named after the witch in Shakespeares The Tempest.
