About Psyche
A metal-rich asteroid thought to be the exposed core of a shattered protoplanet. Composed largely of iron and nickel, with a hypothetical metal value in the quintillions of dollars. NASA Psyche mission launched in October 2023 and arrives in 2029. Measures about 226 km across. Discovered in 1852 by Annibale de Gasparis. Its radar signature resembles a metallic world.
