About Lutetia
A large asteroid visited by the European Rosetta spacecraft in July 2010, imaged from 3,000 km away. Its battered surface includes craters up to 55 km across, recording four billion years of impacts. Denser than most asteroids, suggesting a metallic-rich interior. Discovered in 1852 by Hermann Goldschmidt. Named after the Roman name for Paris.
