About Borrelly Comet
A short-period comet imaged closely by Deep Space 1 in 2001. Its bowling-pin nucleus showed rugged terrain, dark patches, and jets of dust from active regions. Discovered by Alphonse Borrelly in 1904. Reflects only about 3 percent of light, among the darkest surfaces measured.
