About Halley Comet
The most famous comet, visible from Earth every 75 to 79 years. Last appeared in 1986, next in 2061. Observed by astronomers since at least 240 BC. Edmond Halley was the first to predict its return. The nucleus is peanut-shaped and dark, reflecting only 4 percent of light. Creates two meteor showers each year: the Eta Aquarids and Orionids.
