About Asbolus

A small centaur discovered in 1995 by the Spacewatch survey. Infrared studies sized it near 80 km. Its surface is a mix of old dark material and young bright craters, suggesting impacts expose fresh ice. Named after a seer centaur of Greek mythology whose name means sooty. Orbits between Saturn and Uranus, taking 76 years per circuit.
