About Themisto
A small prograde moon orbiting between the Galilean moons and the Himalia group. First observed in 1975, then lost for 25 years before being rediscovered in 2000. Its unique orbit makes it the lone member of its own group. Likely a captured asteroid fragment. Only about 9 km across. Carried the temporary designation S/1975 J1 until its recovery.
