About Pluto
Reclassified from planet to dwarf planet in 2006 by the IAU. Has a heart-shaped nitrogen glacier called Tombaugh Regio. Has five known moons, the largest being Charon at half Plutos size. New Horizons flew past in 2015 revealing an unexpectedly complex world. Discovered in 1930 by Clyde Tombaugh. The Pluto-Charon system is sometimes called a double dwarf planet.
