The smallest of the Himalia group moons of Jupiter. Discovered by Charles Kowal in 1974 at Mount Palomar. Orbits about 11.2 million km from the planet. Named after the queen of Sparta from Greek mythology. Likely a captured C-type asteroid fragment. Takes about 241 days to complete one orbit.
