2002 AW197
About 2002 AW197
One of the largest classical Kuiper Belt objects without official dwarf planet status. Discovered in 2002 by Chad Trujillo and collaborators. Takes about 327 years to orbit the Sun once. Has a moderately red surface typical of distant objects. Deep surveys found no moon, which made pinning down its mass difficult. Among the intrinsically brightest known trans-Neptunian objects.
