About Hyperion
A sponge-like moon of Saturn with a deeply pitted surface. Composed of about 40 percent empty space, making it the largest known highly porous body. Rotates chaotically, tumbling with an orientation that cannot be predicted far in advance. One of the largest irregularly shaped moons. Discovered by William Bond in 1848. Cassini passed within 510 km of it in 2005.
