About Epimetheus
Shares an orbit with Janus in a unique gravitational dance. The two moons approach each other every four years and exchange orbits instead of colliding. Discovered by Richard Walker in 1977 and confirmed in 1980. Its surface is scarred by craters and grooves. Named after a Titan from Greek mythology. The Cassini spacecraft passed within 6,568 km of it in 2010.
